On the 75th anniversary of a B-17 Flying Fortress crashing just after take-off at Redlingfield, killing the ten men on board.
The 95th Bomb Group plane which had taken off from USAAF Horham in Suffolk, was on a mission to Germany.
The B-17's bombs carried on board exploded and the fires destroyed Green Farm, but no civilians were killed.
At 8:30am on Monday 19th November 2018, Local villagers and people involved with the 95th Bomb Group museum at Horham, laid wreaths as an act of remembrance to mark the exact time at which the crash occurred, 75 years ago to the day.
