Point to point

Cottenham, Cambridgeshire. Point-to-point racing is an amateur version of National Hunt racing or the Steeplechase. The name point-to-point refers to the points of the church steeples that the horses used to follow during a race. It is popular among amateur horse owners and riders as it is an inexpensive way to race their own horse. The prizes tend to be small with recognition going no further than the point to point set. It's a sport which has change little in recent years. The winners board with placement in the race of the first 4 horses.
